Full inspection of production and products
Sevel Slagteri mainly supplies half pigs and primal cuts on the bone. Other cuts can be supplied by agreement. With our flexible production facilities, we can quickly switch production to satisfy particular customer needs and requirements. From delivery of the live pigs to slaughtering, cutting and packing, the animals, production and products are subject to constant inspection. All the Danish and European requirements for regular veterinary inspection are complied with and our vet monitors every stage of the slaughtering process. Our export licence also ensures that Sevel Slagteri satisfies stringent hygiene rules
Products
For its export markets Sevel Slagteri mainly produces half pigs and half pigs in five primal cuts, i.e. shoulder,

ham, belly, loin and tenderloin. The cuts are supplied on the bone. Thanks to our flexible production process, we can also supply other cuts and boning on request, in addition to which we can supply pigs and cuts with weight to customer specification.
Production
At Sevel Slagteri animals are stunned with CO2 before being stuck. The carcasses are then scalded, dehaired and singed. Sevel Slagteri singes its carcasses more than normal for better rind and improved keeping qualities. In order to improve the quality of the meat further, Sevel Slagteri does not use a freezing tunnel, but natural chilling in a cold store.
